Not sure when my next blog will be. Tomorrow I get the IV inserted into one of my main veins leading to the heart and I spend the next week in the ICU while being administered an aggressive treatment. Word on the street is it wont be a fun week and the weeks following for recovery might be a long road as well. At least I know what to expect and the whole process has proven to be relatively safe. Still there's that nervous feeling about spending a week in a strange place where people are giving me stuff that they know will make me feel like shit.
On the brighter side, I received the package of brownies Pat sent - Thank You. Everyone loves them and you were right, they brightened up our day. Now we have a desert every night for the next 2 weeks probably.
Ron and Cristina, a big thanks goes to you as well. The beer mug vase with the flowers for Debby cracked us up. Very original and it is currently the center piece in our hotel.
It's my Mom's birthday tomorrow but we decided to celebrate it today instead. So in honor of her we took her to see Pineapple Express, she said something along the lines of it expanding her horizons. There were four of us and the movie got 3 1/2 thumbs up. You can guess who gave it the 1/2 thumb. Later to make up for it we searched around for a nice Italian restaurant but ended up settling for one more casual.
So that's is...tomorrows the beginning of what we hope to be a very successful treatment. Hopefully the first attempt works and I can get out of this place and back home working on our place and drinking some home brew.

Our best wishes for the start of a successful treatment Jason. I'll choke down one of your home brews with you when you get back home.
Happy Birthday, Marjorie! Terry, how is the arm healing?
Joe and Kathy.
Good luck tomorrow, Jason! Hang in there this week. Soon I will bring you your X-box. Hopefully, that will entertain you during the recovery periods. I was just petting Pita while I was reading your blog and after a minute of purring she literally jumped off the ground in an attempt to bite my hand. The only other time I have seen her that energetic is when Debby gives her the catnip. Luckily, you have fattened her up so she couldn't get high enough to get me :-) I think she did it because she misses your attention!
Happy Birthday, Marjorie!
Love,
Becky

the old man (and no i don't smell like an old man.....yet)
Hang in there buddy! Let me know about those PSP games.
Hey guys, just wanted to thank you for the updates! Sounds like a great hospital and just started you off running and not waisting anytime! That's the way to do it! I sure hope the Taco Bell is better there then it is here!!! The 3 of us are thinking and praying about you guys! love Patti, Dave and Christina Wood
I'm glad you enjoyed the brownies and that they arrived safely, I was worried about unscrupulous front desk staff! Anyway, burt meat...wow...yum? Anyway, it's great to hear you are moving around and for the most part keeping yourself occupied when away from the hospital. Don't forget, Dr. Fluffles can also offer alternative treatment plans for boredom! :)
I've been thinking about you guys every day since you have been in Texas. Thanks for the blog, it's a great idea! I have good feelings everything will be fine and I'll be ready to help you drink that home brew when you get back. :0)
